The Processing of Checks Made Payable to
Fourth Presbyterian Church or Chicago Lights
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Gifts made by check to Fourth Presbyterian Church or Chicago Lights will begin to be processed in a more efficient, electronic way by the Fourth Church accounting department. Because of this new scanning process, beginning June 15 information from your check may be used to make a one-time electronic payment from your account. Your bank statement may report the check payment as “Electronic Funds Withdrawal or Transfer” rather than “Check Paid” (in which case you will not receive the cashed check back from your financial institution). The funds also may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day Fourth Church or Chicago Lights receives your check. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact Candi Wiggins in the Giving Ministries office at cwiggins@fourthchurch.org.
