An Intergenerational Lunch on Thursday

Adults are invited to join the students of Chicago Lights Summer Day for an intergenerational lunch this Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Cosponsored by Chicago Lights Summer Day, Center for Whole Health, and Center for Life and Learning, the lunch will include a program to raise awareness for bone health. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to Denise Keane at dkeane@fourthchurch.org.

A Travel-Writing Series
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Men and women sixty and over are invited to come together to capture memories and memoirs about special places they’ve been, trips they’ve taken, or special times they’ve shared with family and friends while traveling. On Wednesday, July 30, the Center for Life and Learning will offer the first session in a five-session “Travel Writing” series. Instructor Amy Wieder will lead students in travel writing exercises, and participants will be encouraged to regularly share short works with the class, providing opportunity for feedback and creative support. The class will meet at the church on Wednesdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. For details, contact Denise Keane at dkeane@fourthchurch.org.

Concerts at Fourth Church

The free Friday Noonday Concerts have moved outside to the Garth! The Music by the Fountain concerts continue each Friday at 12:10 p.m. through August 29. On Friday, July 18, the performance will feature Chicago Lights Elam Davies Social Service Center staff member Maxi-Madelynn Wood, who also sang at this year’s Mission Benefit, and Jerry Knight.
