Amy Pagliarella is a longtime “newcomer” to Fourth Church. She joined the pastoral staff in 2023, after first joining the congregation in 1996. Back then, Amy’s “day job” was as a consultant with Accenture. While serving as an Elder, Stephen Minister, and Moderator of Women at Fourth, she felt the stirrings of a call to ministry. When work colleagues started to notice how she “lit up” as she talked about her spiritual life, Amy followed that call to McCormick Theological Seminary to pursue a Master of Divinity. In 2008, she was ordained at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest and served ten years as Associate Pastor for Children.

Amy is thrilled to work with Fourth Church’s older adults, offering them care and spiritual support, “bringing the church” to them in their homes. Keep an eye out for her around the Gratz Center, as she also serves as a Confirmation Leader and teaches the occasional adult education class. She gratefully serves the broader church as Book Review Editor for the Presbyterian Outlook, Vice-Moderator for the Board of Trustees at McCormick Theological Seminary, and as a member of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry with Chicago Presbytery.
Family is Amy’s passion.

She and her husband, Colm Foley, have two teenage boys, who attend Lane Tech High School. The whole family can be found volunteering at the Common Pantry, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines, or heading to the mountains of Utah in search of fresh powder.
