Fourth Forum is a gathering of lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender, and questioning individuals,
their friends, and any other accepting
and inclusive-minded people from Fourth
Presbyterian Church.
This group provides opportunities for social gatherings and educational and spiritual growth through seminars, retreats, and a Faith Builder group.
Fourth Forum ordinarily meets for brunch at neighborhood restaurants on the second Sunday of the month and for a potluck on the fourth Saturday of each month.
The group upholds the mission of Fourth Presbyterian Church:
We are a light in the city, reflecting the inclusive love of God. Comforted and challenged by the Gospel of Christ, we strive to be a welcoming, serving community. . . . We affirm the worth of all and nurture each individual’s spiritual pilgrimage. Inspired by our heritage, we confront our future with hope and confidence in God’s promise.
and the commitment of the Covenant Network of the Presbyterian Church, (U.S.A.), which, appealing to the “broad middle” of the denomination, works for full inclusion in ordained leadership.
