Mental illnesses affect women and men differently. This 008 conference will listen to women’s voices discussing the mental health issues of women and girls. The panel of experts consists of Dr. Laura Miller, University of Illinois-Chicago; Mary Jo Barrett of the Center for Contextual Change, Chicago; and Tracy Harris, internationally renowned flutist. The Reverend Sarah Sarchet Butter will offer closing remarks. Some twelve discussion workshops on a variety of topics continue after the panel presentations. This conference is open to everyone who wants to know more about mental illness.
