to the fullest in Paris’s Latin Quarter.

November 13: Introduction to the Digital Camera
Digital cameras allow you more freedom and are more forgiving of “bad shots” than film cameras. All you need to know are the basics, and you will be ready to take the best pictures of your life. Whether you are thinking of buying a digital camera, or are simply curious, you’ll want to attend this helpful session.

December Tuesdays

December 4: Julius Caesar
George Frideric Handel’s music thrusts us back to 48 B.C., and things are hopping! Caesar has defeated his countryman Pompey for the job of Rome’s supreme commander. Now he’s out to conquer Egypt for the empire. Egypt’s current ruler is the duplicitous Ptolemy. He’s deposed his sister Cleopatra and hopes to impress Caesar by murdering Pompey. But Caesar is furious, and Pompey’s family wants revenge. No dummy she, the beauteous Cleopatra seizes the moment. Caesar’s the man who can return her to the throne, and she stages a seduction that even the ruler of the Western world is powerless to resist! Join us for this gripping rendition of Handel’s Julius Caesar as presented by our Lyric Opera docent.

December 11: Introduction to “Photoshop Elements”
Don’t just take pictures, take control of your pictures! Photoshop Elements is a popular software tool used by amateurs and professionals to improve or play with digital photos. Experience what is possible with the click of a mouse at this noon presentation.

Most of us will celebrate holidays of one kind or another during the early winter months. Our celebrations often embrace family, travel, food, memories . . . and stress!
