• Wonderland Express
Friday, November 30 at 12:30 p.m.
The Botanic Garden transforms itself into a winter wonderland, illuminated by 750,000 magical white lights, on the outside and a fantastic wonderland indoors, complete with miniature trains. Have a cup of hot chocolate at the café before doing some shopping at the holiday gift shop. Stay cozy inside or wear warm clothes to stroll the winter gardens. $25 CLL Members/$35 Non-CLL Members

• Holiday Luncheon
Thursday, December 13 at 11:30 a.m.
A delicious holiday meal, brightly decorated Christmas tree, and favorite carols are unwrapped once again just for us. But the best part might be the “sweets table,” which comes together from cookies, candies, and other goodies brought to share by our members. To make us feel extra special, Fourth Church staff will be our servers! Reservations must be complete by Tuesday, December 11. Member tickets $10/non-members $15

• Deck the Halls in Milwaukee
Friday, December 14 at 8:30 a.m.
Explore a full day of great venues in Milwaukee. Our first stop will be the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory, also known as “the Domes.” Dedicated to Ladybird Johnson, each of the three beehive-shaped domes provides a different ecology for its plantings. We will lunch at the Envoy restaurant in the Ambassador Hotel before visiting the Pabst Mansion. RSVP by Friday, December 7. $60 CLL Members/ $70 Non-CLL Members

• Nite Out at Dine Restaurant
Friday, December 21 at 5:00 p.m.
Chicago’s new 1940s-style American eatery is now open in the burgeoning West Loop neighborhood.
“Dutch treat” dinner

• French Film Series
Wednesdays in January from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Visions of hope, tragedy, romance, or comedy take a philosophical point of view in French cinema. Five French classics of differing styles and eras will provide fertile ground for discussion. View all five films to experience a short course in the variety and tradition of French Cinema. Discussion time will follow each film. Series, $30; per film, $6. CLL members receive a 50% discount

Republic serves pan Asian food, including Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese, and Polynesian in an upscale dining room. Meet at the restaurant at 58 E Ontario (Ontario and Wabash). “Dutch treat” dinner

• Afternoon Tea at Russian Tea Time
Wednesday, January 16 at 2:30 p.m.
We’ll meet at the restaurant (77 E. Adams) to enjoy a full service afternoon tea. There are a limited number of tickets available for this event, so sign up early. $28 CLL Members/$38 Non-CLL Members

• Antiques and Collectibles Luncheon
Thursday, January 17 at 11:30 a.m.
Our January luncheon will host a professional antiques dealer as our special guest. Lasagna, bread, salad, and tiramisu are on the menu for a Taste of Italy luncheon. Last day to sign up is Wednesday, January 9. $10 CLL Members/$15 Non-CLL Members
