Children in Worship

Children are invited to worship with their parents in the Sanctuary or to attend Sunday School at 9:30 or 11:00 a.m. during the school year and 9:30 during the summer.

The children in Sunday School have a brief communal worship service of their own (“Children’s Chapel”) in Buchanan Chapel before they disperse to their grade’s Sunday School classes.

For children who attend worship in the Sanctuary with their parents, worship folders, containing quiet activities and a bulletin designed for children, are available from the ushers outside the south transept doors (between the Sanctuary and Anderson Hall), and in the Narthex (at the back of the Sanctuary).

If your infant or child needs care or becomes disruptive during the worship service, you may leave the Sanctuary out any door and return as you wish.

On Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., child care for infants through two-year-olds is provided in the Nursery on the first floor of the Gratz Center.

The Hospitality Suite on the second floor is also available as a Comfort Room for parents and infants. Please see an usher on Sunday for directions.

There are special services for children on Christmas Eve, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.
