Young Adults Mission Trip:
Iowa Disaster Response
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday, August 2 to Friday, August 8
A week from tomorrow, Saturday, August 2, a group of Young Adults will travel to eastern Iowa to assist communities that were affected by this spring’s devastating floods. This mission trip was organized as a response to the PC (USA) Presbyterian Disaster Assistance organization’s recent call for volunteers. Take this opportunity to join our team and head to eastern Iowa to help our fellow neighbors find hope in the midst of chaos.
Join us for a week of honest, joyful, hands-on work cleaning up from flooding and making churches and homes safe again. Connect with families and other young adults as we seek to fulfill the church’s mission to help those in need. The trip will cost around $300 per person (including travel and lodging). Financial assistance will be available for those with need. There is still time to sign-up!
If you have questions, would like to receive an information packet, or to sign up for the trip, contact Adam Fronczek at afronczek@fourthchurch.org (312.640.5398)
Please keep those participating in this mission in your thoughts and prayers as they prepare for travel and the tasks that await them.
