Today’s Hymn
To God and to the Lamb, I will sing, I will sing,
to God and to the Lamb, I will sing;
to God and to the Lamb who is the great I am,
while millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing;
while millions join the theme, I will sing!

“What Wondrous Love Is This” (v. 3), American folk hymn
Hymn 215, Glory to God: The Presbyterian Hymnal

Reflection
When I get excited about something, I want to share it with anyone who will listen. I remember particularly happy moments such as getting into college and obtaining my first job. I was filled with uncontrollable enthusiasm, and I eagerly exclaimed my joy to family, friends, and just about everyone else I encountered.

The speaker in this verse feels the same way about God’s love. This person is overjoyed to share the deep love that God has for us. This person is also acknowledging the collective excitement of others who have been touched by God’s love. In this overwhelming experience, this person can’t help but sing of this immense joy.

Prayer
I thank you, God, for your deep and abiding love, and I pray that I may share that love with others. Amen.
