Today’s Scripture Reading
1 Timothy 1:15

The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the foremost. (NRSV)

Reflection

When I read this verse, I couldn’t help but be struck by its profundity. What an amazing and comforting statement! “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the foremost.”

How wonderful to be reassured that as we try to do all we can to do things right, God is merciful and still loves us even when we make mistakes and fall short.

Prayer

Gracious God, help me as I strive to share your love in the world. Thank you for your ever-present love and mercy. Amen.
