Offered by Adam H. Fronczek, Associate Pastor
Gracious God,
in this season you remind us that you look upon us with favor;
we pray this day that you would look with compassion
upon the needs of your people and your world.
Look upon us in our lowliness and create spaces in our lives
that we might be lifted up.
Create spaces for healing and wholeness for those who are sick,
for those who suffer illness of mind and of body.
Create space for us to care for them.
Create spaces of comfort for those who are lonely;
move each one of us to reach out to those
who need companionship in this season.
Create spaces of reconciliation for those who are fighting—
in families, in tribes, and among nations.
Teach us to create spaces where we can live together.
Create spaces of love for those who live in fear.
Bring us assurance that you walk with us always,
especially in these days when we walk together toward Bethlehem,
in expectation of the Christ:
the Christ who is born to create spaces for healing, for comfort,
for reconciliation, and for love.
Create in our lives the space to see the joy that comes and comes soon from our Lord, who taught his disciples to pray: Our Father . . .
